AB+L’s very own visual artist-curator, Dwayne “Dubelyoo” Wright, began this as a one night only show promoting Atlanta art & music. It has grown into a national tour with over 100 exhibitions. “Dubelyoo” features the work of over 50 artists and believes these shows provide an exciting environment to view art and exhibit work in which people of color can see themselves.
To celebrate the broader community, the National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM) also supported this traveling exhibition with Jack Daniels. The NMAAM is a global music destination providing a transformative, inspiration, and educational experience across generations.
DJs kept the crowd entertained by playing music from some of today’s top hip-hop and old school hip-hop artists. Jack Daniel’s provided the cocktails, and the art surrounded the vast space that could only bring this tour to life. This blend of hip-hop and urban artistry made this interactive experience that featured tech-centric installations, and visual art exhibits a one of a kind experience.
