My wonderful readers this has been a fantastic month of galas and celebrations. I am going to try to pack a few highlights in this column.
Thank you to Jackson State University National Alumni Chapter for honoring me as ‘Outstanding Alumni for Achievement.” The awards program was held in Jackson, Mississippi during homecoming. Also congratulations to JSU Chicago Alumni, Cynthia Cotton, “Presidential Award” and Simon Cotton, “National Student Alumni Award.” Special thanks to JSU Chicago Alumni President Brendolyn Hart-Glover for the nomination.
Happy 50th Birthday to Spencer Leak Jr.! Spencer celebrated in the Grand Ballroom of the Regency Hyatt Hotel. The ballroom was packed with friends and family! The DJ was the bomb!
AKArama presented by Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha was held at the Museum of Science and Industry and what a party! Congratulations on a successful event.
