The City of Chicago’s summer job program for youths, Youth Ready Chicago, is now taking applications online until June 4. For students and young adults, ages 14 to 24, jobs with various public and private agencies throughout Chicago will be available. Last year more than $40 million in federal, state and private funds afforded the city to pay for summer employment for the youths. The average wage was $8.00 per hour.
