The Advocates Professional Golf Association (APGA Tour) has chosen the great city of Chicago to launch its 2023 series of APGA Foundation Youth Clinics.

The event, focusing on teenaged youth from underserved communities, is set to take place Saturday, May 27, from noon to 5 p.m. at South Shore Golf Course in Chicago. It is scheduled in conjunction with APGA at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois set for May 29-30. APGA at TPC Deere Run is the tour’s first visit to the Midwestern United States this year.

The APGA Foundation Youth Clinic is a longstanding component of APGA Tour events and will be more prevalent this year now that the global pandemic is mostly behind us. The clinic includes career development and health/wellness sessions led by experts in those fields. The third session is a golf clinic featuring APGA Tour players and officials.

The program also includes an essay contest with cash prizes and educational scholarships worth over $2,500 to be awarded at the event. Over 75 participants aged 13 through 18 from underserved populations are expected to attend.
