Anthony Burton is the Village Administrator for the Village of Matteson, IL, serving in this capacity since 2017. Anthony has spent most of his career in municipal leadership focused on the holistic development of the community. Previously, as the Director of Recreational Services, he led the implementation, growth, and programming of the state-of-the-art Matteson Community Center. Throughout his career in municipal government, Anthony has developed a high level of expertise in community and economic development, government relations, and workforce expansion. Prior to working for the Village, he served as a Planning Commissioner and was elected Village Trustee.

Before transitioning into his career in public service, he was a Defined Contribution/Benefit Consultant for Pricewaterhouse Cooper and a Plan Administrator at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois.

Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Grand Canyon University. Anthony is also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Anthony resides in Matteson and is married to his wonderful wife, Javonna. He is the father of two sons, Anthony and Joshua.
