Angela K. Waller, 52, serves as Vice President, Catering Out The Box, LLC, a full-service, Black-owned catering company, started by her husband, Anthony. She supports the operations, sales, marketing, and events functions of the business, in addition to providing consultation on recipe and menu development. Angela also has twenty years of experience in community and government relations working for organizations including Loretto Hospital, Advocate Health, and Cook County Government.

She is also a 17-year breast cancer survivor dedicated to educating women of color about the importance of overall breast health and the empowerment of patient advocates which compelled her to start a nonprofit, Elevated Survivorship.

She is a member of the Chicago Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and the board of the Jackson State University National Alumni Association. She received her B.S. degree in Mass Communication from Jackson State University, her M.A. degree in Communications & Training from Governors State University, a certificate in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion from Loyola University, and Advanced Culinary Arts and Baking & Patries certificates from Washburne Culinary Institute.
