Amid budget impasse, Quinn to unveil cuts

Gov. Pat Quinn says every state agency, office and even the General Assembly will be hit with budget cuts.

Quinn said he will act on a list of cuts Tuesday as he moves to take out an additional $1 billion from the state budget.

The Chicago Democrat warned that everyone will share in the "sacrifice" that will include layoffs and furlough days. He called furloughs a "good idea" for lawmakers and their legislative staffs.
