Taiwan Excellence Showcase to offer free, interactive activities
and display an exciting range of award-winning consumer products @ premiere food festival in US!

The nations largest food festival has more to offer than food. Granted thousands come out for the delicious Taste of Chicago but this year  expect to see much more than food on the sampling menu during the upcoming Taste of Chicago (July 8-12 @ Grant Park). The Taiwan Excellence Showcase will display over 20 innovative products, each a recipient of the Taiwan Excellence Award.  According to Joseph Liang-Fu Sun, director of the Economic Division of the not-for-profit Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago, the event is designed to increase consumer awareness of Taiwan brands and offer visitors the opportunity to experience superior lifestyle products from Taiwan.

“Taiwan is America’s 10th largest trading partner. Our goal in showcasing our products at the Taste is to offer American consumers the opportunity to experience the quality and functionality of products from Taiwan firsthand,” Sun says. “Plus, they’re fun, so visiting our tent will create the perfect break between enjoying all of the great food at the Taste of Chicago. These products are exemplary for their features and designs. Some are eco-friendly. They have all been produced using world-class manufacturing processes,” continues Sun. “We wanted to bring Taiwan Excellence to the people of Chicago — a city known for its promotion of innovation, design and artistic integrity — and what better way to reach the people than during one of the premier US food festivals and its more than one million annual visitors.”

The world is a huge place and today’s technology makes it accessible at your fingertips.  Instead of  letting your fingers  do the walking this week Taiwan comes to you to introduce its products at the Taste of Chicago.
At night, the tent will be illuminated with a Yantouch decorative mood lamp that produces 16 million stunning color combinations. Additionally, five lucky people will win a Pringo portable printer that instantly prints high-quality photographs from a smartphone.
