A Story of Passion, Music, and Identity

Set to the rhythm of Alicia Keys’ iconic catalog, Hell’s Kitchen follows 17-year-old Ali, a fiery and restless young woman searching for her voice and her place in the world. Stifled by an overprotective mother, she finds solace and guidance through an unexpected mentor—an encounter that changes her life forever. The story is a deeply personal, coming-of-age journey rooted in the heart of New York City.

“Seeing Hell’s Kitchen on a Broadway marquee has fulfilled one of my earliest and most influential dreams as an artist and a New Yorker,” said Keys. “I’m overjoyed by the impact it has already had with audiences that truly mirror the world around us in New York, and I am ecstatic that we can bring the show to so many incredible cities across the country. Let’s Gooooo!!!!!”

The production features a powerhouse creative team, including four-time Tony Award® nominee Michael Greif (Rent, Dear Evan Hansen) as director, choreography by four-time Tony Award® nominee Camille A. Brown, and a book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Kristoffer Diaz. Emmy and Grammy® winner Adam Blackstone serves as music supervisor, with orchestrations by Tony Award® winner Tom Kitt.

A Critical and Commercial Hit

Since its Broadway debut, Hell’s Kitchen has captivated audiences and critics alike. The New York Times hailed it as a Critic’s Pick, calling it “thrilling from beginning to end – a rare must-see!” The Original Broadway Cast Recording won the 2025 Grammy® Award for Best Musical Theater Album and is available on all major streaming platforms, as well as on vinyl and CD.

Beyond its artistic success, Hell’s Kitchen is also making a philanthropic impact. Through an ongoing partnership with the Alicia Keys co-founded organization Keep a Child Alive (KCA), the production has donated $1,000,000 to date, with a portion of ticket sales continuing to support the initiative.

From New York to Chicago

Hell’s Kitchen began its journey at The Public Theater in October 2023, earning a five-week extension before making its way to Broadway’s Shubert Theatre, where it continues to play to sold-out crowds. Now, Chicago audiences have their chance to witness the show’s magic firsthand.
