ATLANTA — Probably the funniest and most enjoyable awards show this writer has ever witnessed concluded at Phillips Arena in downtown Atlanta, only to be followed by the multitudes spilling out of the Steve Harvey’s Ford Neighborhood Awards 2014 and pouring into the Georgia World Congress Center next door for the ballyhooed after party.
The Ford Neighborhood Awards was powered by 90’s New Jack powerhouse Bell Biv Devoe (Ricky Bell, Michael Bivens, Ronnie Dovoe), the successful splinter group from the pioneering R&B band New Edition from the 1980s.
Former V-103 morning show king, Frank Ski, now a radio DJ in Washington, D.C., revved the crowed up in preparation for the appearance of Bell Biv DeVoe.
