Abilities Expo has three-day run in Schaumburg

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Workshops on topics of interest to people with disabilities will be featured at the Abilities Expo at the Schaumburg Convention Center outside Chicago.

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Workshops on topics of interest to people with disabilities will be featured at the Abilities Expo at the Schaumburg Convention Center outside Chicago.

The three-day event starts Thursday, and admission is free.

Thousands of products and services for people with disabilities will be showcased. A fashion show will be held two times a day at the event.

Matthew Sanford, a yoga teacher who is paralyzed and uses a wheelchair, is scheduled to speak Thursday afternoon about the meaning of healing. He is the author of "Waking: A Memoir of Trauma and Transcendence."
