ABC 7 CHICAGO PRESENTS SECOND IN A SERIES OF VIRTUAL TOWN HALLS: DO YOU HEAR ME? A DISCUSSION ABOUT RACE

ABC 7 CHICAGO PRESENTS:  DO YOU HEAR ME?  A DISCUSSION ABOUT RACE, is the second installment in a series of virtual town halls Thursday, June 11 at 2 PM.  ABC 7 Anchors Hosea Sanders and Karen Jordan will serve as moderators for this edition of the hour-long town halls which will air consecutive Thursdays in upcoming weeks.  They will be live-streamed on abc7chicago.com and all of the station’s digital platforms.

Jordan and Sanders will lead the discussion with Chicago community leaders around what role their organizations should play in moving our society forward toward institutional change.  Panelists representing organizations fighting racism, advocating for social justice, and protecting human rights will be contributing.

This week’s panelists include Jackie Taylor, Founder & CEO, Black Ensemble Theater; Kenneth Gunn, First Deputy Commissioner, Chicago Commission on Human Relations; Dorri McWhorter, CEO, YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago; Reverend Dr. Michael C. R. Nabors, Director, Evanston/North Shore Branch of the  NAACP.
