Bernie Riley, who’s running for 7th ward alderman, has lived in Chicago’s 7th ward for 28 years.
Riley has also worked in city government for 25 years as an assistant manager of computer operations (management information system) for the City of Chicago.
Riley says her mission “is to spare no effort to promote the evolving of the 7th ward, using the energetic and unflagging enthusiasm of the young and the wisdom of the experience, joining all independent voices of Chicago’s 7th ward with one vision to:

“My allegiance [would be to the] constituents. This office belongs to the people. I don’t look at the position of being alderman as a golden key. I can and will make the difference. If elected, I will serve with integrity bringing leadership, truth, experience and dedication.
“Because I care, I’m devoted to reunite, revive and restore the 7th Ward from scarcity to prosperity.”
Bernie Riley, Greg Mitchell, incumbent Natashia Holmes, Flora Digby, Margie Reid, Keiana Barrett, LaShonda Curry, and Joseph John Moseley II are aldermanic candidates for the 7th Ward in the City of Chicago.
The election is Tuesday, Feb.24.
