NORMAL, Ill.— New students attending Illinois State University this fall will pay 7.6 percent more for tuition and fees. The Illinois State University board of trustees approved the increase on Friday. The new rate is $20 more per credit hour for in-state students, bringing tuition costs to $276 per credit hour. Fees will cost $64.30 per credit hour, up $3.90 per credit hour. The new rates will remain locked for four years for incoming 2009-2010 school year students.
