Brittnie Morris, a senior at Wiley College in Marshall, Tex., was recently crowned the 51st winner of Miss National United Negro College Fund UNCF.

The winner is determined by the amount of money raised by students at the 39 UNCF member institutions.

The biology major, along with help from fellow Wiley students, raised a total of $445,000 for UNCF.

“I’m thrilled to have been chosen to represent Wiley College and UNCF as Miss National UNCF. But it’s an honor shared by all the Wiley College students whose hard work and contributions to UNCF won the competition for us. And we’re all proud that we are able to help the next generation of UNCF students get the college education that means so much to all of us,” Morris said.
