IlliniCare Health Hosting Event to Celebrate the End of Summer and Help Families Prepare for Back-to-School

IlliniCare Health will host its End-of-Summer Bash from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at Vera L. Yates Homes, 1055 Berkeley Ave., Ford Heights, Ill.

This family-friendly celebration is aimed to cap off the summer and provide an opportunity for families to prepare for the upcoming school year with health screenings and school supplies.

Free of charge and open to the public, the event will feature activities for kids, health screenings and free backpacks with school supplies, including pencils, pencil cases, erasers and more. IlliniCare Health is partnering with community organizations to celebrate with families and the IlliniCare Health Mobile Market will be on site to provide refreshments and music.

The End-of-Summer Bash is an extension of IlliniCare Health’s commitment to whole health and wellness. There is no need to schedule an appointment ahead of time, and children do not need to be IlliniCare Health members to participate.
