Since january 2014, it's allowed to sell and buy cannabis legally in Colorado, USA.

On Saturday, Dec. 3 the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Airport in College Park, hosted a special event for Atlantans interested in medical marijuana registration and entry into the dispensary arena.

Doug Porter, a Cannabis Career Institute expert in bud-tending, dispensary management, delivery service and security, will conduct an all-day seminar teaching budding cannabis entrepreneurs how to get started in the evolving industry. CCI offers state-specific training courses that address a range of topics from legal requirements and regulations to basic grow techniques.

State Rep. Allen Peake, R-Macon, who sponsored the bill that created Georgia’s medical cannabis registry said nationwide momentum and poll results favor medical cannabis. “It’s coming. It’s now in 29 states … It’s coming to Georgia at some point,” said Peake.

Peake wants Georgia to move to that list of “full-blown” medical cannabis states: those that allow the licensed, in-state growth of cannabis for sale to patients, like its neighboring state Florida.

“The battle and eventual passage of Amendment 2 in Florida was keenly observed by the citizens of Georgia,” said Porter. “As a result of the medical cannabis breakthrough there, hopes have been significantly buoyed here. With front-line elected officials like Allen Peake leading the way, it’s a good bet that Georgia will soon be joining the ranks of states permitting medicinal cannabis use. And when that happens, those who are the best prepared will be the ones capitalizing on the once-in-a-lifetime opportunities that are occurring throughout the country. At our CCI seminars, our mandate is to equip the next generation of canna-businessmen and women with the necessary knowledge and tools to become successful in this burgeoning industry.”

Cannabis Career Institute specializes in teaching would-be entrepreneurs how to navigate the often-murky waters of starting up a cannabis business. CCI presents students with an objective expanse of options with step-by-step instruction on the process of starting a business. Delivery, Dispensary Management, Law, Compliance, Marketing and Advertising, Cultivation, Extracts and Cooking are all discussed in detail, providing students with many choices to fit their career goals and lifestyle.
