OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — A suburban Kansas City police officer has been fired for randomly threatening a black woman and her baby, telling her that he’ll see how much her life matters.
LaNaydra Williams told Fox News 4 that suffered a sleepless night Thursday after receiving a Facebook notification from a random person threatening her life and that of her child. That random person happened to also be an active police officer, listed as Rodney Lee Wilson, who worked just on the other side of the Kansas border in Overland Park.
After the rash of police killings of black men last week, coupled with the random murder of Dallas police officers, this incident was particularly disquieting for the mother.
Rodney Lee Wilson seemingly at random posted under a 2-year-old photo of LaNayadra’s:
“We’ll see how much her life matters soon…better be careful leaving your info open where she can be found hold her close tonight, it’ll be the last time”
The officer was quickly processed through the Overland Park Police Dept. in Kansas after the mother reported him.
