CLEVELAND — Most of Northeast Ohio still have a hard time believing that the Cleveland Cavaliers have won the NBA championship, giving the city its first title in any sport in the past 52 years. This includes LeBron James, who was born 30 miles south of Cleveland in Akron.
Listen to LBJ’s emotional, expletive-filled speech following the gargantuan parade that attracted more than 1.3 million people into the city’s center for a mass celebration of the team — and the coronation of the “prodigal son” who left the Cavs but returned to deliver good on his promise to bringing a title to his hometown region.
