EAST POINT, Ga. — Comedian Katt Williams has run afoul of the law, yet again!
The troubled superstar jokster was arrested at a suburban Atlanta restaurant for violence, the AJC reports.
Just after 10 p.m. Wednesday, East Point police responded to a fight call inside Spondivits restaurant in the 1200 block of Virginia Avenue, Capt. C.R. Chandler said in a statement.
“Once at the location, the officers found an individual bleeding from an injury to his upper lip,” he said. “Interviews of this victim and witnesses were conducted and Katt M. Williams was identified as the alleged perpetrator of this incident.”
Williams left before police arrived. He was found a short time later.
“After being interviewed about his involvement in this incident,” Chandler said. “Mr. Williams was taken into custody without incident.”
Williams was taken to the city of East Point Law Enforcement Center, where he was booked on a battery charge.
He was released at 12:30 a.m. after posting bail.
