The Midwest Regional Office of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF will host its 9th annual Hope Gala to raise more than $1 million for UNICEF’s work for children around the world. The Gala’s “Imagine” theme will inspire guests to imagine a world inwhich no child dies of a preventable cause.
The event will take place Saturday, April 9th at the, The Geraghty, and will feature a live performance by triple threat icon of music, film, stage and television–Vanessa Williams along with a silent auction and raffle, seated dinner and live auction. The After Party will be hosted by the UNICEF Next Generation Chicago Steering Committee, a diverse group of young leaders who share a commitment to UNICEF’s mission to save and protect the world’s most vulnerable children. Members of UNICEF’s Youth Activists group, aged 10-14, will volunteer at the event to help educate guests about UNICEF’s lifesaving work.
UNICEF Inspired Gifts – actual needed items that can be purchased and go directly to help children in need in developing countries will be available for purchase at the event. Examples include: an emergency tent, anti-malarial bednets and therapeutic food, among others.
