TONIGHT: Hillary for Illinois to Open West Side Chicago GOTV Space
Chicago, IL – Just hours after President Clinton helped get out the vote for Hillary Clinton at an organizing event in Evanston, Hillary for Illinois will open a West Side Get Out the Vote office space tonight at 6:30 PM. The space will be used in the lead up to the March 15th primary to mobilize supporters to take advantage of early voting before March 14th, and cast their ballots for Clinton on election day.
Elected officials, campaign staff, supporters, and volunteers will gather to discuss Clinton’s agenda that will break down the barriers that hold Illinoisans back and create ladders of opportunity.
Those in attendance will also watch the returns come in for the Michigan and Mississippi primary elections.
To date, Hillary for Illinois has opened grassroots organizing offices on the North and South Sides of Chicago. For months, Hillary for Illinois supporters have held hundreds of organizing events, including phone banks, canvass launches, one-on-one meetings, and debate watch parties. Tonight’s event is a continuation of the campaign’s longstanding efforts in the area.
