BULLS (28-26) 116   RAPTORS (35-18) 106

Career night for McDermott lifts Bulls

Doug “McBuckets” showed exactly why he was given the moniker as he came off the bench and scored a career high 30 points (13-17 fg 4-5 3 pt) to help the Bulls get a much needed 116-106 win over the Toronto Raptors. (If he could be 1/2 of this guy on a nightly basis….) It was their 8th straight win over Toronto as they shot 52% from the field and 44% from 3.  The Bulls have gone 5-15 in the last 20 games as they look to stay alive in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

Chicago got great play from Derrick Rose who finished with 26 points and 6 asssists and Pau Gasol who was one assist shy of a triple double with 18 points 11 rebounds and 9 assists. Bobby Portis brought good energy as well off then bench as he contributed 8 points and 8 rebounds. They look to make it two w’s in a row as the Los Angeles Lakers invade the United Center Sunday evening. I’m sure Kobe Bryant has the Chi circled on his farewell tour…let’s give him a great going away present!
