“Free Bobby Portis! Free Bobby Portis!” chants from the “UC” crowd were louder than they have ever been last night. Granted, the Bulls were in the middle of annihilating the most embarrassing team in the NBA, the Philadelphia 76ers, who are now just 1-25 after falling to the Bulls(14-8) 115-96, but for a Bulls team who can’t seem to shake the tendency of not playing with enough energy when facing seemingly less talented teams, to most fans, Bobby Portis looks like a pond of water in the middle of a desert. Bobby Portis is just as “thirsty”, but patient, as he waits to show Chicago Bulls fans what he can do on the hardwood.

Entering the game to a loud ovation from the fans at the 4:25 mark in the 4th quarter with the Bulls up 104-82, Bobby Portis went to work. Racking up 7pts on 3-4 shooting and a rebound, Bobby Portis made the most of his time on the court all the while strengthening his support from teammates as they cheered from the bench and surely upping the volume of those “Free Bobby Portis!” chants that rang out from the United Center crowd.

In the first installment of #TheBIGS interview series “1 on 1”, Bobby Portis talked with #TheBIGS about how he felt on the floor vs the 76ers, how he plans to build on this performance, how those “Free Bobby Portis!” chants make him feel, and what Chicago Bulls fans should expect from him has he moves forward in his career. Check out the video of the interview above as we go “1 on 1 with Bobby Portis”.
