San Bernardino authorities confirmed that 14 people were killed and another 17 injured when up to three gunmen — two of whom have been identified as married couple Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik — stormed a center for disabled adults and opened fire Wednesday.

But the shooting, which occurred less than a week after Robert Dear Lewis attacked a Colorado Planned Parenthood, killing three, wasn’t the only mass shooting to occur Wednesday.

While police engaged in an intense pursuit of the San Bernardino suspects, families in Savannah, Ga. were left reeling after at least two gunmen opened fire, wounding three men and killing a woman early Wednesday morning.

Detectives believe at least two shooters were involved and have not yet publicly identified a motive in the shooting, according to the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department.

Officers found Jamond Heyward, 17, Brandy Council, 34, Jarrett Myers, 40, and Jeran Washington, 52, wounded when they arrived around 1:30 a.m. to the 100 block of West 33rd Street. Council died from her injuries. Heyward, Myers and Washington had non-life threatening wounds, police said.

Wednesday’s mass shootings bring the tally this year to 355. That’s more shootings than days we’ve had in the year so far. And according to the Washington Post, who obtained the numbers by way of a Reddit mass shooting tracker, we’ve witnessed more mass shootings this year already than the past two.

We still have a month to go.
