The Beautiful Meta Golding is of Haitian descent but was raised in the United States, India, France and Italy as well as Haiti itself. During her years in Italy, she competed on ice as an Italian national figure skater, however fate called her when an injury ended her skating career. She pursued her interest in acting and started acting in Italian theatre. She returned to the U.S to attend Cornell University and earned degrees in Theatre Arts and International Relations.
Meta first appeared in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, 2013 as the character Enobaria, and Returns in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 opening today Thursday November 20, 2015.
- Enobaria (Meta Golding) is the District 2 female in the 75th Hunger Games. She was a Career tribute specializing in the use of swords and the Victor of the 61st Hunger Games. During her games, she bit another tribute’s throat to secure her victory. To remind people of her savage victory, she had her teeth filed into fangs and inlaid with gold. She became extremely popular to the people of the Capitol because of this. Enobaria was the only non-alliance tribute who survived the Third Quarter Quell, being taken hostage by the Capitol alongside Peeta and Johanna. District 13 rescued her alongside the other captive tributes, though Katniss thought that Enobaria was probably not tortured, since she came from District 2.
- In the voting to decide the final Hunger Games with the Capitol children, Enobaria voted yes, stating “let them [the Capitol] taste their own medicine”.
