TUCKER, Ga. — A suburban Atlanta high school girl was nearly raped after being snatched after getting off the school bus.

The teen gave police sketch artist completed a rendering of the attacker and released it to the public.

“He yanked me by my jean jacket, backing up, he grabbed me by waist,” the victim told Channel 2 Action News.

The Tucker high school senior, with her grandmother and detective The Tucker High School student, described how she was able to fight off the man who appeared to be in his early 20s and looked similar to the sketch completed by a professional artist.

“Let me go!  I turn around, let me go! From that moment I punched him,” the victim said.

After she freed herself from the assailant’s grip, she ran home and immediately alerted authorities. She said she was the last one off the bus that day. She was putting her earbuds in with music blaring, she said, when the man came up from behind and tried to drag her into a tree-lined area around her apartment complex.

“To have sex with me, rape, basically take advantage of me,” the victim said.

“Absolutely his intentions were not good. When you drag a kid trying to grab them to another place, certainly he is someone we want off the street,” said Clarkston police Sgt. Amanda Pritchett.

Pritchett implores the public to come forward with any pertinent information.

“Would you want him to hurt a teen, an older woman? You’ve got to keep yourself and everyone safe you never know this could happen to you so what would you do,” the victim said.

Police are asking if anyone with information to contact the Clarkston Police Department or Crime Stoppers. You can remain anonymous and possibly receive a reward, the police department said.
