A suburban Atlanta mother has been charged with two counts of felony murder after two of her five children died in a fire completely destroyed it. Another child is hanging on at an area hospital in critical condition, while two others were injured but released from the hospital.

Police say 3-year-old Preston and 3-year-old Haskell died in the fire. Ten-year-old Jarvis is still in critical condition at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Sunday with severe smoke inhalation. His siblings, 9-year-old Antwon and 4-year-old Shamari, have been released and are now in the custody of the Department of Family and Children Services.

The mother of the children, Rockell Coleman, 28, is being held at the DeKalb County Jail without bond on two counts of felony murder and five counts of child endangerment while police consider additional charges, CNN reports. Her next court hearing is Jan. 5.

According to fire investigators, the children were left home unattended. Neighbors told the media that the children often left alone without any adult supervision.

Members of Coleman’s family said the mother often entrusted her kids with a woman named Tenneisha who had allegedly agreed to watch the children on this fateful night. They also said Tenneisha left the house at some point and was not present when the fire destroyed the house.
