Rihanna gave her money and her breasts for the cause Wednesday night at amfAR’s star-studded Inspiration auction benefiting AIDS research.
RiRi ended up spending $135,000 in total at the Beverly Hills event: $100,000 on a vintage print of late actress and amfAR co-founder Elizabeth Taylor, and $35,000 on diamond earrings.
However, much of the headlines this morning focused on the singer’s outfit – a gown that “covered” her breasts with sheer fabric, her nipples hidden behind some sort of strategically-placed bedazzlement.
Miley Cyrus caught flak for wearing something similar to the event…
Rihanna later took to the stage to present the night’s honoree, fashion designer Tom Ford, with his Inspiration Award. He was given the honor in recognition of his career and his commitment to fighting the AIDS crisis.
Gwyneth Paltrow hosted the gala. Tickets started at $3,000. Guests included Justin Timberlake, Sharon Stone, Milla Jovovich, Kelly Osbourne, Lea Michele, Eddie Redmayne, Michelle Rodriguez, Kristin Davis and Kat Dennings.
