There was no shortage of touchdown dances Sunday as the Lions beat the Browns 31-17.  Undrafted rookie Joseph Fauria was able to celebrate three times.  His first touchdown was celebrated with the gas pedal, the second was a windmill dunk and the third was the cabbage patch.  While he might not be the most graceful dancer he doesn’t lack enthusiasm.

Fauria has seven catches on the season and five of them have gone for touchdowns.   Fauria was undrafted out of UCLA and is the nephew of former NFL tight end Christian Fauria.  He first gained national attention when he scored against the Washington Redskins and showed off his NSYNC moves.  The dance was in response to Jimmy Fallon’s touchdown challenge where if a player did one of the dances preformed on his show he would donate $10,000 to charity.

On the other side of the ball, Deandre Levy had two interceptions.  This gives him four on the season and he is now tied for most interceptions in the NFL.  Levy is also the team’s leading tackler with 49.  The former third round pick of the Lions from Wisconsin was resigned this offseason to a multiyear deal.

Matthew Stafford had a productive day Sunday throwing for 248 yards and four touchdowns.  This was Stafford’s 13th game with at least three touchdown passes which breaks Bobby Lanes franchise record.  Stafford had a lone interception that came on a tipped pass.  The pass was intended for Patrick Edwards but was deflected up right into the hands of a defender.

Calvin Johnson was able to play through injury against the Browns but did not look like himself.  He had three catches on eight targets for 25 yards.  This performance also included three uncharacteristic drops.  He definitely looked like someone who was playing with pain in his limited action.  The Lions need Johnson to recover quickly as they really seem to struggle without him.

The Lions leading receiver against the Browns was Kris Durham.  He was able to catch eight balls on thirteen targets for 83 yards.  Durham’s day was highlighted by a spectacular leaping catch.  He has 16 catches for 215 yards and a touchdown on the season.

Mikel Leshoure got his first action of the season rushing the ball twice for nine yards.  This was due to the injury of Joique Bell who injured his ribs in the game.  Bell was in pain in the locker room but the post game x-rays were negative.  Hopefully this injury is not serious as Bell has been a big part of this offense as a compliment to Reggie Bush.

The Lions play the Bengals Sunday at 1pm on CBS.
