BIRMINGHAM, Ala.— Southwestern Athletic Conference Commissioner Duer Sharp has announced the men’s and women’s basketball tournament is moving to Shreveport, La. Sharp said Thursday that the Farmers Insurance Southwestern Athletic Conference Women’s and Men’s Basketball Tournament will be played in Louisiana for the next three years. The 2010 tournament will be played March 10-13 at CenturyTel Center. The women’s and men’s tournament finals will be televised live on ESPNU. It will be the first time the basketball tournament will be played in the Shreveport-Bossier City area. Copyright 2009 The Associated Press.
