B.B. King closed out the 25th annual Blues Festival June 8 performing his classic hits including, The Thrill is Gone and Let the Good Times Roll. Special guest Buddy Guy joined him on stage for King’s first blues festival performance in 20 years.

Rain and tornado warnings across the Chicago metropolitan area may be to blame for the total Blues Festival attendance record being down from last years record high. Guitarist and singer Johnny Winter headlined opening night of the three-day festival held in Millennium Park which ran from June 5-8. Other performers included Koko Taylor, Buckwheat Zydeco and Jimmy Burns.
