A young rapper in Virginia was found dead after accidentally shooting himself in a video posted on social media.
17-year-old Raleigh Freeman lll, known as Rylo Huncho on TikTok, died on May 15 from a self-inflicted gun wound, per WAVY News.
Prior to his death, Freeman had posted a video on social media of him holding a gun with a green laser and flashlight attached. Freeman was toying around with the gun before he appeared to point it at the side of his head with his finger on the trigger.
“F**ck y’all ni**as,” the rapper said in the video.
Moments later, a bang could be heard and Freeman collapsed to the ground.
Police are still investigating the incident, but have preliminary called Freeman’s death “accidental.” Freeman was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A GoFundMe campaign was set up to raise money for funeral costs.
“Hello, my aunt recently lost her 17 year old son from a self-inflicted gun wound to the head. He was her only son! She was a single parent but took care of her son the best she could,” the fundraiser reads. “Suicide/accidental was the cause of his death we are still trying to figure out why. But anything I mean anything can help her at this time of need. He was her only child. She was also an only child. It was always her and her son. Anything can help! Please keep my family in your prayers thank you so much.”
