CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago police say a 16-year-old boy is dead after a bullet fired from outside came through a window and struck him inside a South Side home.
Police say that the 16-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the house a short time after the Wednesday night shooting. Police officials say the preliminary investigation indicates the teen was the intended target of the gunman and was not struck by a stray bullet.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released the victim’s name pending the notification of family.
Police say no arrests have been made.
