He’s an 11-year-old with a heart of gold. For the third year in a row, Samuel Love, a fifth-grader from Chicago, is hosting an ambitious toy drive so that kids who may be going through difficult times will get a special surprise this holiday season.
According to WGN-TV, Love launched his holiday toy drive this weekend. He’s reportedly aiming to collect 2,500 toys and gift cards this year.
At last year’s toy drive, Love is said to have collected 1,500 gifts, which he sent to children in Oklahoma, Colorado and elsewhere. “Every kid should have at least one present under the tree Christmas morning. I know I would be sad if I woke up and had no toys,” he told DNAInfo.com last December.
