Slaughter to Host Free Utility Bill Clinic in Chicago

State Rep. Justin Slaughter (D-Chicago), in partnership with the Citizens Utility Board (CUB) will help local residents save money and avoid unnecessary charges on their monthly bills by hosting a free utility bill clinic.

“With summer in full effect and temperatures rising, homeowners and renters can begin to see steep increases on their utility bills,” said Slaughter. “There are many different ways to keep utility bills down, and CUB does a great job of helping local residents save money during these hot summer months.”

The clinic will take place on Wednesday, July 24, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Slaughter’s constituent service office located at 1234 W. 95th St. in Chicago. CUB’s utility experts will review residents’ bills and offer money-saving tips. Residents should bring copies of their phone, water, gas and electric bills. Residents are strongly recommended to RSVP, as space is limited.

“Our families cannot afford to pay high utility bills, especially when they contain hidden fees and unnecessary charges,” said Slaughter. “I look forward to partnering with CUB and helping the hard-working families in our community save money on their utilities.”

If you’d like more information or would like to RSVP, please contact Slaughter’s constituent service office at 773-445-9700.
