FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — If you’re known as the "hat lady" at your church, then Christopher Davis wants to hear from you.

The Fayetteville Observer reports the hat designer from Marion, S.C., was set to be at the Holiday Inn Bordeaux in Fayetteville on Saturday to talk to women who love to wear hats. He taped segments for books and documentaries on the culture of wearing hats to church and to community events.

His project doesn’t have a title yet.

Davis is the author of "We Too Shall Wear a Crown: Honoring and Celebrating the Legacy and Tradition of African-American Women Who Wear Hats to Church."
