While Mike Brown was being shot and killed by officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson, Mo., and then left to rot on the street like an animal carcass for hours, it turned out that someone had watched it all unfold and saw the last seconds of Brown’s life.
A Twitter user by the name of @TheePharoah actually was the man who broke the story via tweeting. He is a  rapper/producer and resides in the neighborhood where Brown was gunned down. No doubt the U.S. Department of Justice has been in contact with him by now, perhaps as the first civilian the Federal Bureau of Investigation interviewed in the shooting that has riveted the nation.
At 1:03 p.m. on August 9, @TheePharoah tweeted in all caps, “I just saw someone die omfg.” He then tweeted to a follower, “The police just shot someone dead in front of my crib yo.”
He then sent another tweet of a picture of Brown lying dead in the street.
“Dude was running and the cops just shot him. I saw him die bruh,” he tweeted.
@TheePharoah estimated the number of shots that was fired in the confrontation. “Yeah man, [Brown was shot] seven times I think. The first two were [in the front]. The next five weren’t. He turned around.”
Here’s the shocking part for most Ferguson observers. Two hours after his first tweet, @TheePharoah indicated that Brown was still lying on the ground in a pool of his own blood.
“Homie still on the ground tho,” he said.
His last tweet mentions that Brown may have stole some Cigarillos: “Apparently, he stole some rellos [sic].”
Another interesting twist: TheePharoah has not been interviewed by the media. However, he did decline to be interviewed by BET’s KeKe Palmer. @TheePharoah said he won’t speak to the press until he obtains legal counsel.
