WARREN, Ohio — Members of a northeast Ohio community are offering monetary and in-kind donations to help the families of six teenagers killed when a speeding sport utility vehicle crashed into a pond.

Local media reports an anonymous donor has offered to pay for six resting spots, and a restaurant is donating food for the victims’ families in Warren, about 50 miles southeast of Cleveland. Pastors are collecting money to help with funeral expenses, and a printing business is making programs for those services for free.

Funeral services for some of the teens are planned this weekend.

The teens drowned Sunday when an SUV struck a guardrail and flipped into a swampy pond. Authorities said five teens were trapped inside, and a sixth who was thrown from the vehicle was found underneath it.
