CHICAGO (AP) – A jury has convicted a Chicago man of murder in the 2008 killings of five people shot execution-style in the head after a robbery on the city’s South Side.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports 33-year-old Michael King was found guilty Thursday of murder and armed robbery after the jury deliberated for about six hours. Three men, a woman and a teenage girl were killed in the April 23, 2008, slayings.
Two other men were involved in the crime. Twenty-eight-year-old Torolan Williams was convicted of murder and armed robbery in May. He and King face life in prison.
Thirty-one-year-old Arthur Brown is expected to be sentenced to 24 years in prison in exchange for testifying against Williams and King. Prosecutors say he pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree murder.
