The presenters will explain how an association can develop a reserve strategy and the purpose of a reserve study. A portion of the seminar will be devoted to explaining methods for funding reserves, leveraging investments to create a return on reserve funds, and how to finance short-term and long-term expenses identified in the reserve strategy.

Objective
To acknowledge and celebrate African American men who personify the exemplary qualities of respect, responsibility, passion, brotherhood, and leadership.
The Program
2nd annual celebration of Chicago%u2019s African American Men of Excellence, the Chicago Defender will produce a special pull-out section featuring 50 of Chicago%u2019s most influential men. They will each be profiled and Corporations and Community organizations will have a chance to salute them with congratulatory ads. A reception will be held at the Hotel Allegro to honor the men as well.

Foster & Adoptive Parent Info Session
Little City Foundation's Foster Care and Adoption Program is dedicated to finding loving and committed homes for children with special needs. You don't have to be married, own a home, be "perfect" or be an "expert" to provide a loving home to a child in need. Information sessions are held the third Wednesday of the month. Bud Billiken Day Parade
Bud Billiken Day® was originated in 1929, as Mr. Abbott%u2019s wish to organize a day of fun for youth who sold his newspaper and the Club members. Today, Mr. Abbott%u2019s wish has grown to the largest parade and picnic of its kind in the United States, with more than 50 million children and their families having participated since its inception. The parade is produced by The Defender Charities organization and has over 300 sponsors/participants, lasting from 10am to approximately 4pm.
