When Mimi Faust’s and Nikko’s sex tape exploded on the scene last year, fans of the show quickly looked askance at Faust because her claims that the sex tape was personal did not ring true.
Moreover, people noticed that there were too many cameras in the room for there not to have been a film crew present. Initially, Faust denied the accusations. But she’s finally come clean about the sex tape and admitted that she agreed to have her famous sex romp with Nikko — replete with the infamous shower rod scene — filmed by porn giant Vivid Entertainment.
Faust comes clean during the latest episode of “Love and Hip Hop” after girlfriends Arian Davis and Erica Dixon interrogate her about the authenticity of her previous statements about the sex tape being a private moment that got leaked.
“The initial tape was homemade,” Faust divulged to the two friends. “The company said, ‘We don’t have enough footage because it has to be a certain amount of footage to sell.’”
When Dixon inquired as to why Faust felt she needed to camouflage the truth these past several months, Faust broke down and finally said she wasn’t ready, and didn’t feel the need, to come completely clean about the circumstances.
“I didn’t feel like I needed to divulge none [sic] of that from the beginning,” Faust says.
Unfortunately, these are tumultuous times for Faust. She recently had to tend to her father, who died from complications emanating from a devastating stroke. She still hasn’t processed her tragic loss when rumors began floating around that Nikko is already married to another woman.
When Faust confronted Nikko about his marital status, there was a long pregnant pause before he indeed confirmed that he has a spouse.
Stay tuned for more explosions on the next week’s episode of LAHHATL.
