White Christmas In Chicago 2013? The Odds For A Snowy Holiday Are Looking Good

Hope you’re ready for some more white stuff, Chicago!

WGN meteorologist Tom Skilling is predicting a Clipper-type storm system will bring between one and three inches of snowfall to the Chicago area over about 10 hours beginning late Christmas Eve on Tuesday night.


A “white Christmas” is defined as a Christmas Day when at least one inch of snow is on the ground — something that has happened of the last 50 years in Chicago, Skilling notes. The anticipated snow will mark the city’s first white Christmas in three years.
