    Reading & Rhythm on the Riverfront

    Rivard Place: Detroit Riverfront

    Reading & Rhythm on the Riverfront is a FREE summer reading program presented by the General Motors Foundation and hosted by the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy. This interactive and family-oriented program was designed to promote literacy throughout southeastern Michigan while engaging children ages 3 to 10 and their families to experience the beautiful and re-energized Detroit Riverfront.

    Belle Isle Summer Series (BLISS)

    Paradise Arts Festival: Zion Henry Gibson and Taslimah Bey

    A monthly cultural arts festival with a focus on visual arts, dance and music — plus specialty acts, eclectic retail and food/drink specials.

    For Kids: Magic Carpet Theatre

    Kidz Shows at Campus Martius

    Children’s theatre and dance performed on the park’s main stage followed by hands-on arts projects and games. Magic Carpet Theatre Imagination is the key to this creative storytelling trio.

    Run This Town – Detroit

    Detroit Riverfront

    10 a.m.

    The Run This Town movement was founded and launched on May 8, 2012, in Detroit, Michigan.  The infectious networkingout sessions have touched hundreds, if not thousands, of people in the Metro-Detroit area. RTT-Detroit members have lost countless pounds, experienced reductions in blood pressure, and expanded their personal, fitness and professional networks.

    Wheelhouse Detroit Corktown Tour

    Get inside info on the oldest neighborhood in Detroit. Check out Victorian homes, historic churches and buildings, vibrant and dynamic businesses and urban farms. Stops include Most Holy Trinity Church, Ponyride, Brother Nature Produce, Sprit of Hope Church, Roosevelt Park and Grinnel Lofts. This tour includes a stop for a quick snack and beverage along the way. Tour distance: 10 miles.
