Kennedy-King College Women’s Basketball Player Ranks Fourth in Nation in Rebounding

Jacqueline McKinnis, a sophomore forward from Kennedy-King College, is ranked fourth in the nation in rebounding in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

McKinnis, who was named NJCAA Region IV Player of the Week in December, grabbed 22 rebounds and scored eight points for the Lady Statesmen in their last game against Sauk Valley Community College. McKinnis averages 14 rebounds per game.

“Jackie has the focus, drive, and determination to excel in her position, while elevating the performance of her teammates as well,” said Gloria Reeves, coach of the Kennedy-King women’s basketball team.

Kennedy-King College is in Division I, Region IV of the NJCAA and is one of the City Colleges of Chicago. In addition to Women’s Basketball, Kennedy-King College’s sports teams include Men’s Basketball, Soccer, and Wrestling.
