Chicago native and Miami Heat player Juwan Howard gave back to his community, as he does each year, by putting on a four-day basketball camp.
“It feels good to always come back home and spend time with the students. The camp not only focuses on basketball, but the athlete overall. We focus on education off the court as well,” Howard told the Defender.
A graduate of CVS and the University of Michigan, who was also part of Michigan’s Fab Five, said it felt great to win an NBA championship and said he has at least another year in him to play before considering retirement.
