CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium is offering free admission to first responders and their families for nearly a week starting Sept. 11.

Chicago police officers, firefighters and active-duty military will be able to get in without paying, along with up to four members of their families. They’ll need to bring proper identification.

Visitors will have access to the aquarium, the Oceanarium, the Wild Reef and a new special exhibit of jellyfish.

The free admission ends on Sept. 16.

The aquarium says the free admission days are a "small token of gratitude for the continued bravery and service" of first responders.
