WOODSTOCK, Ill. (AP) — Illinois veterans can get one-stop shopping when it comes to help with their benefits.
The Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs is hosting free forums that bring federal, state and local agencies together.
According to the agency’s website, there’s a forum Wednesday in East St. Louis at the Frank Holten State Park and on Aug. 19 in the Chicago suburb of Woodstock. Another forum is scheduled for Aug. 28 at the DuQuoin State Fair in southern Illinois.
In Woodstock, the Helping Our Hometown Heroes benefit will be at the Woodstock Opera House.
Agencies scheduled to attend can help veterans with housing, job, medical and government benefits, among other needs.
