Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel is naming a deputy mayor.
CHICAGO (AP) — Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel is naming a deputy mayor.
Emanuel is expected to announce Wednesday that businessman Mark Angelson will fill the post. He’ll also serve as the chairman of the newly created Economic, Budgetary and Business Development Council.
Angelson is an executive who’s led several companies, including World Color Press and RR Donnelley.
Emanuel’s transition team says Angelson will serve for a salary of $1 a year.
The new council Angelson will lead will review the city’s budget looking for ways to save money and improve services.
