Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport now has a sister airport in Hong Kong.
CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport now has a sister airport in Hong Kong. The Chicago Department of Aviation said Tuesday that commissioner Rosemarie Andolino signed a sister airport agreement in China with Airport Authority Hong Kong chief executive officer Stanley Hui Hon-chung. The Chicago aviation department says it’s the third sister airport agreement it has established in China over the last week. The others were with airports in Shanghai and Beijing. Andolino says the Hong Kong airport will be a "valuable partner" as the Chicago aviation department looks to enhance both O’Hare and Midway international airports. Under the agreement, the Chinese and Chicago airports will share technical, commercial and environmental best practices. They will also work together on areas like construction, planning and management. Copyright 2011 The Associated Press.
